Structural Adhesive

The Application of Petroleum Resin in Structural Adhesives

1、Adhesives: Petroleum resin can be used as a primary component in adhesives, especially in the construction industry, for both structural and decorative purposes. Additionally, it finds extensive applications in the automotive industry, such as in the assembly of car parts and tire manufacturing

2、Coating Additive: Petroleum resin can be used as an additive in coatings to enhance gloss, hardness, waterproofing, and chemical resistance. It can be employed in the production of road marking paint, as well as general furniture and anti-rust paints.

3、Ink Additive: Petroleum resin is used as an additive in ink to enhance its rheological properties, stability, and brightness. It can also improve the gloss and abrasion resistance of the ink.

4、Rubber Synthesis Additive: Petroleum resin is used as a rubber synthesis additive, and it can to some extent alter the performance of rubber, providing softening, reinforcing, and tackifying effects. In the production of butyl inner tubes, it can enhance the lifespan of the butyl inner tube.

5、Paper Adhesive: Petroleum resin can be used as a paper adhesive to improve the smoothness, water repellency, printability, and anti-foaming properties of paper. Compared to traditional rosin, petroleum resin has better water repellency, making it more suitable for use as an adhesive
